Who We Are
Chapter Two Studios is a Webflow and Shopify web design studio. We are responsible (the “data controller”) for the personal information collected through this website and in the course of our work with clients. If you have any questions, email us at hello@chaptertwostudios.com.

Information We Collect
We may collect the following information:

  • Details you give us through our contact forms, discovery call bookings, email or WhatsApp, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, website and project details.
  • If you become a client, your billing details and payment records, your project agreement, and the content and files you send us for your website, such as text, images, logos and brand guidelines.
  • Basic technical information collected automatically by our website host when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type, which helps keep the website secure and working properly.

We never see or store your full card details. Card payments are handled securely by our payment providers.

How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and arrange calls, because you have asked us to and so we can discuss working together.
  • Deliver your project, including sending your project agreement, invoices, payment links and onboarding information, so we can carry out our contract with you.
  • Keep financial and business records, because we are required to by law.
  • Keep our website secure and working properly, which is in our legitimate interests.
  • Send you news and updates, but only if you have chosen to receive them.

Email Updates
We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in to receive them. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe, or you can email us at any time and we will remove you from our list.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing. We only share it with trusted providers who help us run our business, including:

  • Webflow, which hosts our website and processes our website forms.
  • The booking, form and email tools we use to schedule calls and manage enquiries.
  • Square for card payments, GoCardless for Pay in 3 Direct Debits, Wise for international payments, and our bank for bank transfers.
  • WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there.
  • The secure storage we use to collect and keep your website content and project files.
  • Automation tools we use to pass information between these services.
  • Our accountant, and authorities such as HMRC where we are required to by law.

International Transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How Long We Keep Your Information
If you enquire but we don’t go on to work together, we keep your details for up to 12 months after we were last in touch. If you become a client, we keep your project and financial records for up to six years after your project ends, to meet our accounting and tax obligations. If you have opted in to email updates, we keep your details until you unsubscribe.

Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Ask us to limit how we use your information, or object to us using it.
  • Ask us to transfer your information to another organisation.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

Cookies
Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Webflow may set a small number of essential cookies needed for the website to work, for example to keep it secure and process forms. Some pages, such as our booking page, include tools from other providers that may set their own cookies, covered by those providers’ privacy policies. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies, although some features may not work properly without them. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
